Our pieces appreciate the evolution of style, inspired by the woman from the 1960s and her depiction of style in this era. Delving deep into classic silhouettes and accentuation of our most beautiful features, we celebrate the sophisticated woman and her timelessness.
As a brand we are committed to using our platform (internship programme) and influence to play our role in building up a community of young talent and enthusiasts, we are also committed to supporting other platforms with the same purpose especially in Nigeria.Â
We support our local community by use of Nigerian made fabrics and also produce all garments in Nigeria. Great care is taken in all manufacturing processes for each piece to ensure high quality, durability and comfort for our customers.
Flat17studioRTW was launched in 2021 headed by Lead Designer, Karen Milaghe Ayuba. Karen’s designs celebrate the evolution of women and their fashion sense through time. Her designs are interpretations of a modern day Jackie K living in Lagos, Nigeria. Karen goes in-between different eras to pull inspiration for looks the sophisticated woman could relate with and see herself in, she specializes in making classic fashion trends original and unique to the brand.
Raised in a small conservative town Zaria , In northern Nigeria but now living in Lagos city, she’s experienced different cultural takes and uses them as guides through her design process. Karen studied building engineering in Ahmadu Bello University and believes her studies in construction have had a great influence on her design techniques. In 2017, she emerged first runner up in the Vlisco Fashion Fund and has since dressed countless women from all walks of life.
Apart from the glamor of fashion and the business aspect, Karen’s passion is to have great influence in the design community by giving back a safe space for fashion enthusiasts to learn the ropes through internships before delving full time to the realities of the business. She’s also committed to supporting brands who are dedicated to teaching creative youths especially in Nigeria.

Delivery time is between 3 to 5 working days for domestic orders (from within Nigeria) and 6-10 working days for International orders.

For new arrivals and latest launches, delivery can take up to 10 to 15 working days for domestic orders, and 12-20 working days for International orders.
Delivery charges within Nigeria ranges between N1,000 to N6,000 depending on your location. For international orders, the shipping charges are calculated at checkout according to the customer’s location.
No, we do not. In case of size issues or damaged product, we offer exchange or the customer will be issued a coupon of same value, which you can use to shop from our store now or in future.
Yes. We offer exchanges for domestic orders but the client would be required to handle logistics
No, we do not offer COD services for orders. Payment needs to be made in advance either via bank transfer or Master/Visa card online. We use a very secure internet banking options.
For international orders, COD service is NOT available. International customers need to pay in advance either via Master/Visa card, Bank Transfer or World Remit.
